January is an exciting month y’all! Lots and lots of awesome books are being released, some of these are even some of my highly anticipated releases for 2019! It’s always exciting starting the new year out with new books! So here is a little mix of some releases I’m jumping up and down for in January!
I AM SO DEAD EXCITED FOR THIS! I’m pretty sure 95% of the book community is excited for this release. Some people would give an arm and a leg for an ARC of this book. (me, I’m talking about me) This is the second book in The Folk of The Air series, the first one being The Cruel Prince. This series is full of Fae, Court Politics, a sexy wicked prince, a strong heroine, and ANGST, lots and lots of angst. This world Holly Black created and the characters are just so enthralling that you’re sucked in and can’t put the dang thing down!

The Simple Wild was one of my favorite books last year and that made me crave even more from K.A. Tucker so when I saw she was releasing another book I was super excited, then I read the summary and became instantly intrigued.
This standalone novel is about a sixteen year old girl who is starting over with her life. Leaving her painful regrets being, Aria Jones, becomes someone new. With the Hartford family living next door, it seems she will succeed. Finding friendship in her neighbor Cassie, Aria is exposed to so much more then she thought including Emmett, Cassie’s older brother. Aria wishes that friendship with Emmett could lead to something more, if he didn’t already have a girlfriend it might have. Aria soon finds herself in a moral predicament that could derail her fresh start. It’s her loyalty to Cassie, and growing crush on Emmett that leads her to make a risky move, one that earns her an enemy who is willing to end her happy new world.
This book just sounds so refreshing and full of so many different things, I have no idea where K.A. Tucker is gonna take us, but I’m super excited to get my hands on this and dive in!

2. Be the Girl by K.A. Tucker

This is another highly anticipated release for half of the world, well the book world, but anything Leigh Bardguo releases is sure to stir up a lot of excitement! King of Scars follows one of Bardugo’s characters from the Grisha Verse.

4. 99 Percent Mine by Sally Thorne
January 29th
Ok, it’s confirmed. I’m taking a sick day on January 29th because for one Kingdom Hearts 3 comes out and not only do we get KING OF FREAKING SCARS but we also get a new release from Sally Thorne. No big deal, super chill. SIKE. I’m literally hyperventilating. SALLY THORNE Y’ALL. Ok I’m fine now. For real though, The Hating Game is one of my all time favorite books so when the same author decides to release another book you know I’m all about that. SO about that. Darcy Bennett has come to the conclusion after serious research that no man measures up to Tom Valeska, whose only flaw is that Darcy’s twin brother Jamie saw him first and claimed him forever as his best friend. Despite Darcy’s best efforts, Tom’s off limits and 99% loyal to her brother. When Darcy and Jamie inherit a cottage from their grandmother with the only instruction to fix it up and sell the property, Darcy plans to be in an aisle seat halfway across the ocean as soon as the renovations start. The Only problem is Darcy finds herself greeted by none other then house flipper extraordinaire: Tom. Not to mention he’s single for the first time in forever. Soon sparks are flying and it turns out one percent of Tom’s heart might not be enough for Darcy, and this time she’s going to make Tom 99 percent hers.
You shook? Because I am. Hopefully it’s just as cute and enjoyable as The Hating Game, though I’ve read some reviews that it’s not like The Hating Game and to not go into it expecting that. Like I’m just grateful Sally Thorne blessed us with a new novel, it could be about how to breed snails and I’d probably read it.
