June is a big month for new releases! A little bit of romance, a little bit of YA! Actually June is bringing the heat with these new YA fantasy releases! This is a list of books I’m excited for in June, which honestly I pretty much have the entire list from oodreads on here... I think there was maybe ONE that I didn’t care for! It’s an exciting month and I can’t wait to dive in!
1. Cinder & the Prince of Midnight by Susan Ee
June 3rd
If you haven’t read the Angelfall series by Susan Ee you definitely should. She’s awesome at writing YA and as soon as I saw that she was releasing a new series I was super excited! If you didn’t know Susan Ee is on kindle unlimited so I’m wondering if this new release will be too!So what I’m getting from the summary of this book is that it’s a fairy tale thriller (WHICH I AM SO HERE FOR) about an orphan girl who gets mixed up in the twisted world full of dark Kings and princes. Sign. Me. Up.
Susan Ee has a way of writing YA without making it too cheesy so I just know this series has a good chance of being completely awesome, and just form the brief summary on Goodreads I’m hooked! I’ve been in the mood for YA lately and I just haven’t found any that I wanted to pick up until I heard about this book! I’m super excited, and can’t wait to dive into this world !
2. The Two Week Arrangement by Kendall Ryan
June 4th
So if you love romance, and I mean LOVE it then Kendall Ryan is the author for you. Reading this summary had me wanting this book asap! What more could you ask for then a sexy boss/employee romance!? Nothing better then a forbidden romance, and it just happens that our male character is a single dad. I am here for single dads, there is just something about seeing a man love his kids more than anything in the world! Ovaries are currently exploding!! SO this book pretty much has everything you could want- Single dad, forbidden romance, work place romance, crazy sexual tension, and so much more! This is an adult romance so just be prepared, but Kendall Ryan is awesome and I can’t wait to get my hands on this !
3. Ghosts of the Shadowmarket by Cassandra Clare, Maureen Johnson, Sara Brennan, Robin Wasserman
June 4th
Cassandra Clare? Shadow world? One clicked and done.... For real though just the fact that this book is a set of short stories in the shadow world had me shook. Also love JEM? Well this is your early birthday/christmas gift because what more could you want..... uh! I always get a little nervous when there are other authors contributing like this, but I mean.... WHATEVER. I’m pretty sure Cassandra Clare could write about about an earthworm and I would be shaking with excitement ! So obviously I’m excited... if you haven't guessed!
4. The Rest of the Story by Sarah Dessen
June 4th
So when I saw that Sarah Dessen was releasing a book in June I was so excited. I mean Sarah Dessen is that OG contemporary author that you've loved from day one. I’ve been reading her books since middle school, so you could say I’m devoted to my girl Sarah :)This book is typical Sarah Dessen. It's about a young girl coming across an emotional part in her life and learning how to overcome it. This book follows Emma who lost her mother when she was young and then later reconnects with her mothers family in her teenage years. So BAM emotional part revealed! Also enter childhood best friend (love interest) who Emma reconnects with when she goes to spend the summer with her mother’s family. So yeah, this is everything I could want from a Sarah Dessen book!
5. Coldhearted Boss by R.S. Grey
June 6th
SURPRISE!!! R.S. Grey is coming out with a new book...shocking..... JK this girl produces more books in a year then any other author..ever. Which thank you R.S. Grey, you’re the real MVP. What can you really say about this book. It’s a typical rom com filled with laughters and an awesome romance. R.S. Grey gets better with each book, and the romance is literally off the charts. She’s the Queen, no lie. Coldhearted Boss is a workplace romance with previous history between the couple, and que the forbidden romance! YAS. Anyways if you’re familiar with R.S. Grey then haven’t you already one clicked this? And if you haven’t picked up an R.S. Grey book well............
6. The Bride Test by Helen Hoang
June 6th
All hail Helen Hoang, creator of the Kiss Quotient.. and MICHAEL. So you better believe I am here for this book. We’re diving back into the same world from book one but this time following the life of Khai, who is autistic, and Michael's cousin from the first book. We get to see him navigate and develop a relationship with Esme, who he is pretty much being set up with! Khai believes he can’t find love or even want it and Esme tries to prove him wrong. I’m pretty sure this is my most anticipated release of June! I loved the Kiss Quotient and I’m sure Helen Hoang isn’t about to disappoint! I can't wait to get my hands on this!
7. Fix Her Up by Tessa Bailey
June 11th
HGTV come to life? Calm down ladies.... (okay I’m talking to myself) but come on. Raise you’re hand if you’re addicted to HGTV shows..... Me. That’s me. This book is about a guy who’s career in the major leagues comes to an end and he ends up working for his best friends family business. And guessssss what!? Of course he realizes that his best friends little sister is all grown up, and of course she’s always had a crush on him...and still does. So does this plot sound familiar? Yes! Am I still going to pick it up? Absolutely! Tessa Bailey is hilarious so you’ know you’re in for a good time!
8. Storm and Fury by Jennifer L. Armentrout
June 11th
Spinoff from a series by the YA fantasy Queen! You heard me right! Remember the Dark Elements series? YUH, this follows Zayne and of course his love interest. So we get to dive back into this world and I couldn't be more excited. I love the worlds she creates and the Dark Elements series is one of my favorites by her! While reading the Dark Elements series I loved Zayne and wanted him to have a happy ending so bad, so I’m SO excited that he’s getting that chance. Not only is she blessing us with a new book in The Origins series, but now we get this?! 2019 YOU’RE SO GOOD TO ME. If you haven’t read the Dark Elements series you don’t have to read it to read Storm and Fury, but you should because it’s SO SO SO good, but yeah you can just pick this up on it’s own if you want to, which I definitely recommend if you love YA Fantasy!
9. Letters to Molly by Devney Perry
June 18th
Earlier this year I read my first book by this author, The Birthday List, and really liked it! It wasn’t my favorite but still it sets up the premise for this book and I really want to read this book to know what happens to Molly. Molly and her husband go through a divorce in the first book and it’s clear that she still loves him. Years later her heart is finally healing and then one day she finds a letter in the mail that Finn wrote to her 15 years ago on their first date. The letters continue to come and each holds a piece of his heart. Too bad Finn isn’t the one sending them.. UH. FYI Devney Perry books are emotional and I would bet 3 dollars that this book is just as emotional. I’m pretty sure if I read the summary enough times I could work myself up to a good sob fest.. I’m such a loser..... but whatever! I can’t wait to get my hands on this and finally see our girl Molly get the ending she deserves!
10. Nine by TM Frazier
June 18th
This summary has me shook. For the full effect you need to read it. Just read it." I know it's wrong to watch her like this, but she's a temptation I can't resist. She's performing for another man, but I feel like it's all for me. Like she's mine."
Nine lives.
Nine inches.
One chance to make her his.
Preppy's brother is about to live up to the family legacy in more ways than one.
This is the story of Nine, The Tale of Kevin Clearwater.
WHAT IS NINE INCHES. I NEED TO KNOW. WHATTTTTT.
And how more vague could this summary be? Also you need to read this because TM Frazier creates masterpieces. Warning she tends to write bad guy romances and I don’t mean like a cute Damon Salvatore bad guy. I’m talking like Sons of Anarchy bad, worse! And I love it! Based on this summary I’m guessing we get more of the same from her and I legit can not wait! Check out TM Frazier if you love romance but want something a little different from your typical contemporary!
